FINALLY I convinced myself to let loose a little and go shopping. I have had a mental list going since I arrived of things I wanted to buy, things my wardrobe lacked ... and then when I realized I was going to be in Spain in 80 degree weather with no cute skirts or tank tops I gave in. Hey! I'm in London! I'm a student abroad! I'm never going to get to be here in this moment again!
So I bought some clothes.
Three skirts, one dress, one shirt, one pair of shoes and a tank top. To be precise. Everything on sale, all for less than thirty pounds. (Mom don't worry I won't go broke just yet...)
the other side of the ocean. the other side of a national border. the other side of a point of view. another side of life.

shoes and a book
Today — after months of worrying that my tennis-shoes just won't cut it in a London office — I finally found a pair of shoes I can wear to work! I can now check "classy shoes" off my list of things to worry about before leaving in September. I'm going to forget about the fact that London is cold and damp and stormy, and that I might need some more substantial footwear. For the time being I am completely content with my little red heels.
I also got my first London travel guide. Guess what I'm going to be doing for the next couple of nights?? Yep, that's right — reading through every "neighbourhood," memorizing street maps and starring places I want to visit, places I want to eat and stores I want to shop in.
I'm getting excited!!
